Mindfulness Meditation: The Practice of Being Alive

This experiential workshop will offer participants the opportunity to learn the practice of mindfulness meditation, or to refresh an ongoing practice. The practice cultivates our deepest potential for living life fully with greater peace and ease.
Decades of research has shown that Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is effective in reducing stress, depression and anxiety; enhancing health and communication; and supporting overall well-being.
The workshop will include an introduction to MBSR, guided instruction in the mindfulness practices used in MBSR (sitting and walking meditation, body scan, mindful movement), and reflection on the benefits and applications of mindfulness in daily life.
