Tell A New And Different Story:
A weekend workshop with Desiree Rumbaugh
We cannot control our thoughts, but we can control our vibration. Our experience in life depends on our perspective, which rules our thoughts, words and actions. Science has shown us that our personalities are set for life by the time we are in the first grade. Our families and our communities contribute to our belief systems and before we realize it, most of us are running our lives on auto-pilot. Spiritual studies such as yoga and meditation can help us see ourselves more clearly. We all tell stories, but we may not realize how our stories affect the quality of our lives. Once we identify a story based on fear, we can literally re-program our minds. In this workshop, we will use yoga poses as tools to examine re-patterning our bodies and re-writing our stories.
Friday, 6-8:30 "Reflect" Hip Openers, Pranayama and Meditation
Gather together with your community and begin the process of first knowing your body and then loosening up it’s tight spots. Your feet, knees, hips and lower back will thank you for attending this class.
Saturday, 10-12:30 "Reconnect" Core Strength and Backbends
The best thing you can do for your spine is to surround it with strength first and then encourage it gradually to become more flexible. Join us for a safe and lively morning practice.
Saturday, 2:30-5 "Renew" Forward Bends and Twists
These poses smooth out the rough edges and soothe the soul. You will work in a strong intelligent way and afterward, you will feel like you have had a session with a great body worker ---yourself!
Sunday, 10-12:30 "Celebrate" Take Good Care of YOU
This will be a full spectrum practice including all types of poses that we learned throughout the weekend together. When your body and mind know how to work together more efficiently, your energy and vitality are noticeably raised.
